SUMIPEX is a brand of acrylic produced by Sumitomo Chemical. Produced in Singapore, Sumitomo's plant is the largest integrated PMMA plant globally, with a 150Kt annual production capacity. SUMIPEX exhibits outstanding optical properties, high light transmission, low haze, exceptional surface hardness, scratch resistance and outstanding UV and outdoor weatherability.

Typical markets and applications include automotive, housewares, optical lens, extruded sheets, display panels, lighting and cosmetic jars.

There are a number of new product development grades ranging from high gloss piano black for automotive exteriors, furniture capping grades, PVC co-extrudable grades and grades suitable for medical parts.
