Extrusion Coating

Extrusion coating allows a different layer of polymer to be extruded as a coating onto a substrate - this substrate could be another compatible (i.e. easily bonded to polymer being extruded) or completely disimilar e.g. paper. The polymer is usually extruded from a flat die as a sheet that is then cooled onto the substrate.
