Primacor

Primacor are Ethylene Acrylic Acid Copolymers which offer superior adhesion to polar substrates such as metal, glass, ionomers. Primacor acts as an excellent tie-layer between foil and PE layers.

Primacor Ionomers offer excellent heat seal and hot tack, broad sealing window, seal through contamination, high stiffness and toughness and very high clarity for use in the sealant, outer or tough layer. Available in both sodium and zinc Grades.

Primacor has enhanced performance over LDPE for its abundant caroxylic acid groups. Due to an abundance of hydrogen bonds Primacor has similar strength and higher toughness compared to a typical LLDPE. Primacor has high abrasion and stress crack resistance with very high heat seal and hot tack.

-Aluminium foil adhesion, e.g. toothpaste tubes, sachets
-Paperboard coating
-Dispersions
-Adhesives (wire & cable)
-Coatings
