The major application area for ARLANXEO butyl rubber products is the tyre industry, but its unique properties also make it a key polymer for a variety of technical rubber applications. Butyl vulcanizates offer an attractive range of properties including low permeability, high damping, good ageing, chemical resistance and excellent mechanical properties.
Halogenated grades have a rapid cure rate and can be blended with natural rubber (NR) or synthetic rubbers such as nitrile rubber (NBR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), polychloroprene rubber (CR), ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM), or butadiene rubber (BR)
