Samyang are a South Korean polycarbonate producer headquartered in Seoul and are Korea's first producer of PC, operating a 130kt capacity plant in Jeonju. Samyang have a fully integrated production and are producing BPA one of the key building blocks of polycarbonate. Samyang produce PC using interfacial polymerization which results in a high quality PC (comparatively to melt process) and high molecular weight (branched) PC is available.
As well as prime PC, Samyang are also producing PC compounds - flame retardant, light diffusive, plus PC-ABS, PC-PBT, PC-PET & Si-PC
Samyang operate a compound plant in Jaszbereny, Hungary with a 15Kt capacity. Trirex PC materials produced here are typically 'copy paste' and cover flame retardant PC and light diffusive PC.
TRIREX is available in a wide range of grades including coloured, flame retardant, UV stabilized, and glass reinforced. TRIREX offers outstanding impact resistance, clarity, temperature resistance and dimensional stability.
