David Ware
Director of Commercial Recycling
AO Recycling
David Ware, director of commercial recycling at AO has over a decade of experience with the recycling of electronic and household goods. Working alongside brand owners, he supports businesses move from using prime to recycled polymers, cultivating circularity.
AO are a leading supplier of electrical goods in the UK, a household known business that collect unwanted household appliances such as fridges, ovens, tumble dryers and dishwashers from your doorstep in the UK. Appliances that have reached the end of their working life are recycled by AO; broken down and sorted by material. Polystyrene and ABS are extracted from fridges, sorted and cleaned then turned back into granules for moulding into new products. See this video on their fridge recycling process to see how it works.
In David's talk he shares AO's vision of creating circularity in the electronics and consumer appliances market, and how they have achieved this with their recycling plant and Ultrapolymers, working alongside OEMs.
