TECHNYL® RED Heat Resistant Plastic - DOMO

Thermal resistant polyamides for high temperature applications making engines lighter, more powerful and energy efficient.

In the mobility industry, wether it be cars, trains or aerospace, is continuously looking for ways to improve powertrain technology. Producing engines with a greater power output whilst being energy efficient, requires innovative lightweight composite materials that deliver comparable strength to metals whilst being able to withstand high temperatures. DOMO's TECHNYL® RED range of high heat resistant polyamides are designed for applications operating at continuous temperatures between 175 °C and 220 °C, helping brand owners to design innovatively for the higher heat stress environments of the latest internal combustion, turbo-charged and hybrid engines.

TECHNYL® RED Nylon Properties:

• Excellent mechanical performance with reinforced options available

• Maintains 50% of its properties after 3000 hours of exposure to 190-220 °C

• Superior thermal aging resistance

• Chemical resistance in particular to acids and oils

• High flow and ease of processing

• Aesthetic surface finish

• Good welding ability by both vibration & hot gas welding

• Ideal replacement for PPS or PPA

TECHNYL® RED Nylon Uses:

Engine components operating above 180°C, turbo air ducts, charge air coolers, cylinder head covers, air intake manifolds with integrated water charge air cooler, resonators, cylinder head and engine covers, as well as charge air coolers and turbo air ducts.
