Extrusion Cast Film
Plastic Film can be cast into sheet form for a wide variety of end uses – from protective packaging (flower wrap, bread overwrap) to credit cards. In the Cast Film process, the molten polymer is usually extruded through a slot die onto an internally cooled chill roll and then passes through a series of rollers which will determine the nature and properties of the cast film including thickness. As with other plastic film manufacturing processes, the end product can include a vast range of colours, finishes, laminations and printing.
