The rapid crystallization of Vydyne 20NSP resins may allow part ejection at higher temperatures compared with general-purpose nylon 6,6. This will reduce the mold closed time and thereby decrease the molding cycle. 21 FSR - higher viscosity
Vydyne® 21FSR is a higher-viscosity, general-purpose PA66 resin. It is available in natural and designed for extrusion-compounding applications. This resin offers a well balanced combination of engineering properties characterized by high strength, rigidity, good toughness, high melt point, good surface lubricity and abrasion resistance. Vydyne 21FSR maintains the chemical resistance typical of PA66 to many chemicals, machine and motor oils, solvents and gasoline.
21 LS - Low viscosity
Vydyne® 21LS is a low-viscosity, general-purpose PA66 resin used for extrusion-compounding. Vydyne 21LS enables mixing shear sensitive materials and high-percent filler concentration where distributive mixing is essential to the final product performance. The compounded product will maintain its high flow and performance needed for the application. Resistance of Vydyne 21LS to heat, oil and wear is typical of PA66 neat resins.
21 MST - Medium viscosity
Vydyne® 21MST is a neat PA66 resin that is designed for extrusion-compounding applications. This general-purpose resin provides excellent viscosity stability against moisture throughout the extrusion process. Vydyne 21MST maintains its medium viscosity through the compounding step. Resistance of Vydyne 21MST to heat, oil and wear is typical of PA66 neat resins.
21 X1 - Improved flow
Vydyne 21X1 is a general-purpose PA66 resin. Available in natural, it is designed principally for injection-molding applications with the added benefit of improved flow during the molding process. 21X1 offers the same well-balanced combination of engineering properties characterized by high strength; rigidity; good toughness; high melt point; good surface lubricity; abrasion resistance and resistance to many chemicals, machine and motor oils, solvents and gasoline. Vydyne 21X1 resin permits production of molded parts with good initial color plus good property and color retention when using regrind. This resin is recognized by Underwriters Laboratories and conforms to the requirements of many industrial, federal, and military specifications for premium-quality, general-purpose PA66 resins. Vydyne 21X1 is externally lubricated and intended for use in high-productivity applications. In many applications, the molding cycle can be reduced because parts may be removed from the cavity at higher temperatures. In difficult molds where parts have a tendency to stick in the cavity, Vydyne 21X1 can reduce or eliminate the need for mold release sprays. Critical molded part dimensions should be checked against specifications before implementing shorter molding cycles on a routine production basis. Typical Applications/End Uses: Vydyne 21X1 resin has been used in many molding applications such as terminal blocks, bearings, bushings, cams, electrical connectors and housings, electrical cable ties/tie straps and many other hardware and general industrial parts.
21 Z - High strength, rigidity
Vydyne® 21Z is a general-purpose PA66 resin. It is available in natural and designed for extrusion-compounding applications. This resin offers a well balanced combination of engineering properties characterized by high strength, rigidity, good toughness, high melt point, good surface lubricity and abrasion resistance. Vydyne® 21Z maintains the chemical resistance typical of PA66 to many chemicals, machine and motor oils, solvents and gasoline.
21 Z - NT01A2
21 ZLV - low viscosity
Vydyne® 21ZLV is a lower-viscosity, general-purpose PA66 resin. It is available in natural and designed for extrusion-compounding applications. Vydyne 21ZLV is the feedstock of choice for highly filled TM products and reactive-compounding applications. Vydyne® 21ZLV maintains the chemical resistance typical of PA66 to many chemicals, machine and motor oils, solvents and gasoline.
22 HSP - unfilled, lubricated, heat-stabilized
Vydyne® 22HSP NT is a heat stabilized molding grade nylon 6,6 resin also available in black as Vydyne® 22HSP BK. It is lubricated for improved machine feed and mold release and is intended for use in applications requiring fast molding cycles and outstanding mold release performance. The stabilization package has been formulated to provide improved retention of physical and electrical properties, compared to non-heat stabilized grades during long term exposure to high temperatures. The Vydyne® 22HSP series offer a well balanced combination of engineering properties characterized by high strength, rigidity, good toughness in use, high melting point, good surface lubricity, and abrasion resistance. In addition, it is resistant to many chemicals and solvents, including gasoline, and machine and motor oils.
22 HSP BLACK
22 HSP NATURAL
25 WSP - nucleated, UV/weather resistance
Vydyne® 25WSP is a black weather resistant injection molding grade nylon 6,6 resin. These resins offer a well-balanced combination of engineering properties characterized by high strength, rigidity, good toughness, high melt point, good surface lubricity and abrasion resistance. Vydyne® 25WSP maintains the chemical resistance typical of nylon to many chemicals, solvents, gasoline and machine and motor oils. Weather resistance is obtained by incorporating finely divided, well-dispersed carbon black particles in the nylon matrix. While the presence of carbon black usually increases brittleness, these resins have been formulated to minimize loss of ductility properties such as elongation and Izod impact strength. As a result, parts molded from 25WSP frequently exhibit higher ductility and practical toughness compared with other black, weather resistant, non-impact modified nylon 6,6 molded parts. Vydyne® 25WSP resins are internally and externally lubricated for improved machine feed and exceptional mold release. Vydyne® 25WSP is intended for use in high-productivity applications. In many applications, the molding cycle can be reduced because molded parts may be removed from the cavity at higher temperatures.
